Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) has agreed to commit $100 million to Crestview Partners IV, $600 million to Blackstone Capital Partners VIII and an additional $20 million to KKR’s Alamo fund, a contact at the pension informed Private Equity International. TRS previously committed $225 million to Alamo in January, with the pension’s total commitment to the fund now valued at $245 million.
The $153.13 billion US public pension has a 13.0 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 13.90 percent.
As illustrated below, TRS has made several commitments to private equity funds with a 2018 and or 2019 vintage, which combined constitute $4.72 billion.
