TRSL approves $275m in commitments

The US public pension has backed three multi-regional private equity funds.

Teachers’ Retirement System of Louisiana (TRSL) has agreed to commit up to $100 million to Hancock Agricultural Separate Account, up to $100 million to AgIS Separate Account and up to $75 million to Castlelake Income Opportunities Fund as disclosed to Private Equity International by a contact at the firm. The farmland and debt focused funds are managed by Hancock Agricultural Investment Group, AgIS Capital LLC and Castlelake respectively.

The $19.51 billion US public pension has a 14.0 percent current and target allocation to private equity.

TRSL has made seventeen commitments focused on private equity with a vintage of 2018 and 2019, which combined constitute $1.29bn.
