UMich approves $181.2m in commitments

The U.S. endowment has backed eight private equity funds.

University of Michigan announced $181.20 million-worth of private equity commitments to eight vehicles in its board meeting packet.

The commitments comprise of $50 million each to Deerfield Healthcare Innovations Fund II and SDC Digital Infrastructure Opportunity Fund II, a $10 million commitment to Miracle Plus Fund I and an additional $15 million commitment to General Catalyst Group IX- the regents’ total commitment to the fund is now $87.50 million.

The Endowment also committed $6.2 million to two funds managed by Sequoia Capital and  a $50 million commitment to two related Flexpoint Ford sponsored funds, of which the fund names were not disclosed.
