Instabase, a platform company for business applications, has raised $105 million in Series B funding. Index Ventures led the round with participation from other investors that included Greylock Partners, New Enterprise Associates, Andreessen Horowitz, Spark Capital, Tribe Capital, SC Ventures and Glynn Capital. In addition to the funding, Sarah Cannon, a partner at Index Ventures, will join Instabase’s board of directors.

MediaLab has agreed to acquire Kik Messenger, the app of Waterloo-based Kik Interactive, according to an announcement made by MediaLab. No financial terms were disclosed.
