Abu Dhabi-based Mubadala Investment Company has launched a venture capital unit that will be based in San Francisco. The new team will initially oversee a $400 million early-growth venture fund; a $200 million venture fund of funds that will invest in both established and emerging fund managers; and Mubadala's $15 billion commitment to the SoftBank Vision Fund.
