FilmTrack picks up $5.5 mln Series C

Studio City California-based FilmTrack, a provider of end-to-end rights management solutions for media and entertainment companies to help manage and monetize their intellectual property, has secured $5.5 million in Series C Funding. The investor was Insight Venture Partners.

Cincinnati-based CRäKN, a provider of a software solutions for the death-care industry, has secured undisclosed amount of funding. The investor was Queen City Angels.

VC-backed Maverick Therapeutics recruits Scibetta as CEO

Brisbane, California-based Maverick Therapeutics Inc., an immuno-oncology company, has appointed James S. Scibetta as CEO and a member of its board of directors. Previously, Scibetta worked at Pacira Pharmaceuticals where he served as the company’s president of global R&D, manufacturing and capacity expansion activities, as well as commercial and medical support activities. Maverick Therapeutics is backed by MPM Capital.

Vyze scores $13.1 mln Series C

Vyze, a provider of financial technology solutions for retailers, has raised $13.1 million in Series C financing. Austin Ventures led the round with participation from Fathom Capital and Starvest Partners. In addition to the funding, Ken DeAngelis, co-founder and general partner at Austin Ventures, has been added to Vyze's board of directors.

VC-backed ForgeRock hires chief security officer

San Francisco-based ForgeRock, a open platform provider of digital identity management solutions, has named Steve White as chief security offer. Previously, White worked at Sonos. ForgeRock is backed by Accel Partners, Foundation Capital and Meritech Capital.

San Francisco-based StreamSets, a provider of enterprise data operations platform, has named Shekhar Iyer as president. Iyer is a former executive at Couchbase, SAP and Informatica. StreamSets' backers include Accel Partners, Battery Ventures and New Enterprise Associates.

Rob Day, Christian Zabbal and Nikhil Garg are listed as partners in Spring Lane Capital, according to the filing from Monday. No investors are mentioned in the filing. Black Coral, which focused on the cleantech sector, is in the process of winding down, Axios reported.
