VRS approves $581m in commitments

The US public pension has backed North America- and Western Europe-focused funds.

Virginia Retirement System has approved a commitment of $275 million to Olympus Growth Fund VII, $150 million to Anchorage Illiquid Opportunity Fund VI, $125 million to Siris Partners IV and $31 million to Abry Partners VII and VIII.

The $75 billion US public pension has a 12 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 9.1 percent.
