WSIB approves $1.05bn in commitments

The US public pension has backed four private equity funds.

Washington State Investment Board committed $350 million to Sequoia Capital Global Growth Fund III, $300 million to KSL Capital Partners V and $200 million each to Blackstone Capital Partners Asia Fund I and Banc Fund X.

The $128.8 billion US public pension has a 23 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 15.5 percent.
