WSIB considers $550m in commitments

The US public pension considers backing a global and an Asia-focused fund.

Washington State Investment Board will consider its planned commitments of $350 million to Sequoia Capital Global Growth Fund III – (Endurance Partners & Sequoia Capital) and $200 million to Blackstone Asia Fund in its next meeting on Thursday, April 19th.

The $129 billion US public pension has a 23 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 15.5 percent.
