Courtside Ventures launches with $35 mln
Courtside Ventures has launched and will invest $35 million in early stage technology and media companies with a focus on sports. Dan Gilbert, founder and chairman of Rock Ventures, Quicken Loans and a major owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers, was the anchor investor for Courtside. Other investors include WPP and Bruin Sports Capital.
