Allianz Capital Partners has tapped ATP Private Equity Partners’ New York office head.
Susanne Forsingdal, head of ATP PEP, the private equity arm of Danish pension fund ATP, will leave the firm by year end, Torben Vangstrup, ATP PEP’s managing partner, confirmed to PEI.
Forsingdal will join Allianz in January 2015 as a managing director in its fund investment team and will be heading up the New York office, according to an Allianz spokesperson. The story was first reported by PE Hub.
Jesper Voss Hansen will be replacing Forsingdal, Vangstrup said. Voss Hansen has worked for ATP PEP for nine years and has been based in its New York office for the last seven years, he added.
Forsingdal joined ATP PEP in 2003. Before joining ATP PEP, she spent seven years in equity research at Nordea Bank, Codan Bank, and Danske Bank. Prior to that, she headed up the strategy and investor relations department at Danske Bank.
She sat on the advisory boards of Apollo VI & VII, Atlas Capital Resources I & II, Bridgepoint III & IV, Cinven III & IV, Core Capital Partners II, Endeavour Capital VI, JK&B V, Lake Capital Partners, and Wicks Communication & Media III & IV, according to ATP PEP’s website.
In March, ATP closed its recent fund of funds on €800 million, which will back GPs in both the US and Europe. ATP PEP, which was founded in 2001, actively manages €7.7 billion on behalf of ATP.
