Arkansas Teacher Retirement System approves $30m commitment and reallocates $60m

The US public pension has reshuffled its private equity portfolio.

Arkansas Teachers Retirement System has approved a commitment of $30 million to JFL Equity Investors V, according to the pension’s June Board meeting minutes.

The pension has also reallocated capital within two private equity commitments managed by Franklin Park. Arkansas hash transferred its $30 million commitment in Franklin Park Venture Capital Access Fund to Franklin Park Venture Fund Series 2019, while simultaneously transferring its $30 million commitment in ATRS/Franklin Park Fund to Franklin Park Corporate Finance Access Fund.

The $17.35 billion US public pension has a 12.0 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 12.20 percent.

As illustrated in the charts below, the fund has made six commitments to private equity funds with a 2019 vintage, which combined constitute $180 million.
