Vista Equity Partners is exploring the sale of advertising software provider Mediaocean LLC, the Wall Street Journal reported. Vista has hired Morgan Stanley and Macquarie to help weigh a sale that could value Mediaocean at more than $1.5 billion, the story said.

Silver Lake is shifting some of its stake in Dell Technologies to a new fund so that it can hold it longer, Bloomberg is reporting. Silver Lake is moving a stake worth about $1 billion from its third fund to its newest investment fund, Silver Lake Partners V, the story said. The firm is moving the rest of its Dell holding to a special purpose vehicle held by investors of the original fund, the story said.

American Securities said Oct. 22 that Dyal Capital Partners, a unit of Neuberger Berman, has invested in the New York private equity firm. Financial terms weren’t announced.
