BMO Capital Markets advised Integrative Nutrition on the transaction, while Jones Day provided legal services for NEP. PennantPark Investment Advisers provided senior debt financing and Norwest Mezzanine Partners provided subordinated debt financing.

General Atlantic announced several new hires in its fall newsletter, including Tanzeen Syed as a managing director, Mark Garrett as a special adviser, and Mary Armstrong as global head of marketing and communications. The growth firm also disclosed that Mark Dzialga has retired. Dzialga was a managing director and chairman of GA’s investment committee, Crunchbase said.

The private equity team at George Soros’s family office has spun out, Bloomberg is reporting. Led by David Wassong and Ravi Yadav, the 20-member team will manage a majority of exiting assets but also seek new investments, the story said. The group also plans to raise money from outside investors, Bloomberg said.

Yale University’s endowment increased 12.3 percent in its most recent fiscal year to $29.4 billion, slightly better than the 11.3 percent it hit in the prior year, the New York Times reported. Yale’s performance trailed results from rivals such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, whose endowment gained 13.5 percent, and the University of Pennsylvania, which experienced a 12.9 percent increase, the story said.
