Voyager Capital said Oct. 8 that its latest fund raised $100 million. Voyager fifth fund will make first-round investments in B2B startups across cloud infrastructure, software as a service (SaaS), and vertical markets such as FinTech, MediaTech, and AgTech.

Papa said Oct. 9 that it raised $10 million in a Series A round led by Canaan, with additional investment from Pivotal Ventures, an investment and incubation company created by Melinda Gates. Initialized Capital, Y Combinator, and Sound Ventures re-invested in the round. Papa seeks to provide companionship to seniors to curb loneliness and social isolation.

JackRabbit said Oct. 9 that it acquired certain assets and liabilities, including the online presence and brand, of Olympia Sports. Financial terms weren’t announced. Olympia, of Portland, Maine, operates its brick and mortar stores primarily in the Northeast U.S. while also serving online customers via its e-commerce site Olympiasports.net. JackRabbit is a portfolio company of CriticalPoint Capital.

Shiseido Co Ltd said Oct. 8 that it agreed to buy Drunk Elephant. Financial terms weren’t announced but press reports peg the deal at $845 million. Drunk Elephant is a skin care brand. VMG Partners and Leandra Medine invested $8.3 million in Drunk Elephant in 2017, PitchBook said. Jefferies provided financial advice to Shiseido.
