First Group has rejected a "preliminary and highly conditional” offer from Apollo Global Management, The Daily Telegraph reported. First Group, a British bus and train operator, rejected the proposal because it was too low, the story said.

Britton Hill to sell Hawker Pacific for $250 mln

Jet Aviation is buying Hawker Pacific Airservices Ltd for $250 million. Hawker is a portfolio company of Britton Hill Partners. Hawker, of Sydney, Australia, is a general aviation service provider within the Asia Pacific region. Sidley Austin LLP provided legal advice while Jefferies LLC served as financial adviser to Hawker Pacific.

Continental buys Metro, 24 Hour Vending

Continental Services, a New Heritage Capital portfolio company, has acquired Metro Vending Service Inc and 24 Hour Vending LLC. Financial terms weren’t announced. Continental and Metro are both providers of vending, micro-market and office coffee services in the greater Detroit market.

Dyal Capital buys minority stake in Vector Capital

Vector Capital said April 11 that it sold a minority stake in the firm to Dyal Capital Partners, a division of Neuberger Berman. Financial terms weren’t announced. Vector, of San Francisco, is technology focused PE firm.

First Reserve said April 10 that it acquired CHA Consulting Inc from Long Point Capital. Financial terms weren’t announced. CHA, of Albany, New York, is an engineering firm. Houlihan Lokey acted as financial advisor to CHA.

GP Global buys MAG Lube

GP Global, formerly Gulf Petrochem Group, said April 11 that it has closed its buy of a majority of MAG Lube LLC. Financial terms weren’t announced. MAG, of Dubai, makes and distributes lubricants across the Middle East.

Mazarakis joins Salveo Capital

Thomas Mazarakis has joined Salveo Capital as a managing partner. Mazarakis most recently served as a managing director at Goldman Sachs in London where he was head of the Fundamental Strategies Group.

One Equity buys ePak Resources

One Equity Partners said April 11 that it completed its buy of ePak Resources. Financial terms weren’t announced. ePak, of Austin, designs and makes packaging for semiconductor, integrated circuits and electronic components.

Dyer named CEO of PDC Logic

PDC Logic, a portfolio company of Intervale Capital, has named Warren Dyer as its president and CEO effective immediately. Dyer is the former CEO of Ulterra Drilling Technologies.

Inergy Analytical mergers with LIAS Software

Inergy Analytical Solutions, a portfolio company of Main Capital, has merged with LIAS Software. Financial terms weren’t announced. Danny Bosman, CEO of LIAS remains as a shareholder. LIAS provides software and services in the field of corporate performance management, planning and control, management information and risk management.
