Roper Technologies Inc said Dec. 6 that it agreed to buy Deltek in a deal valued at $2.8 billion in cash. Thoma Bravo is the seller. Deltek, of Herndon, Virginia, provides software and information solutions for government contractors and professional services firms.

Shoes For Crews LLC, a CCMP Capital portfolio company, has agreed to buy the SureGrip Footwear subsidiary of Genesco. Financial terms weren’t announced. SureGrip makes occupational, slip-resistant footwear for the hospitality, grocery, foodservice, healthcare and industrial industries.

KKR has agreed to buy a majority of Optiv Security. Financial terms weren’t announced but press reports pegged the deal at $1.9 billion. Blackstone Group along with Investcorp and Sverica were the sellers. Optiv, of Denver, is a cyber security firm. Blackstone will retain a minority in Optiv, the statement said.

Onex Corp said Dec. 5 that it closed its buy of the Save-A-Lot business from Supervalu Inc for $1.365 billion in cash. Save-A-Lot is a hard-discount grocery retailer in the U.S. Onex Partners IV made an equity investment of $660 million, of which Onex' share was $186 million as a limited partner in the Fund.
