JLL Partners Fund VII raises $1 bln

JLL Partners said April 6 that its seventh fund closed at $1 billion. Investors of JLL Fund VII LP include Colorado PERA, Cal Regents, Montana, Travelers Companies and certain funds and accounts advised by Neuberger Berman. JLL’s prior fund collected $807 million in 2009. The New York private equity firm invests in sectors including aerospace, healthcare, building products, financial services, and business services.

CrossChx raises $15 mln

CrossChx said April 6 that it raised a $15 million Series C financing round. Participants include Silicon Valley Bank, Khosla Ventures, Drive Capital, NCT Ventures and Moonshots Capital. Columbus, Ohio-based CrossChx provides a patient sign-in system called Queue.

Ally Financial to buy TradeKing

Ally Financial Inc said April 5 it agreed to buy TradeKing Group Inc for about $275 million. Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based TradeKing is an online broker known for charging low fees. Investors include OCA Ventures and Battery Ventures. Buyouts Insider reported news of the auction in January. Goldman, Sachs & Co, Jarrett Lilien and Sullivan & Cromwell LLP advised Ally. TradeKing was advised by Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Cooley LLP.

Healthcare payment processor Cotiviti confidentially files for IPO: Reuters

Healthcare payment processing and auditing company Cotiviti Corp, owned by private equity firm Advent International Corp, said it confidentially filed for an initial public offering, Reuters News is reporting.

MV Holding, Revo Capital invest in Cardtek

MV Holding and Revo Capital have invested in Cardtek and will have a 24 percent stake in the company. Financial terms weren’t disclosed. Cardtek, of Instanbul, Turkey, is a payment processing solution provider.

ABRY to buy majority of SambaSafety

ABRY Partners is acquiring a majority stake in Safety Holdings Inc, which does business as SambaSafety, via a recapitalization. Financial terms weren’t announced. Albuquerque, New Mexico-based SambaSafety provides cloud-based driver risk management solutions.

Begley joins CloudHealth Technologies

Larry Begley has joined CloudHealth Technologies as its CFO. Begley is a co-founder of .406 Ventures.

Blackstone names new Asia Pacific leadership

Blackstone announced a new Asia Pacific Leadership. This includes: Chris Heady named to Chairman of Asia Pacific; Jan Nielsen appointed Chief Operating Officer for all Blackstone businesses and administrative functions in Asia Pacific; Carol Kim named firm-wide Chief Operating Officer of investor relations across the region; Daisuke Kitta to Head of Japan for all business and administrative functions; and Susannah Lindenfield was named General Counsel for Asia Pacific.

Encore Rehab closes add-ons

Encore Rehabilitation Services LLC, a portfolio company of Revelstoke Capital Partners LLC, has completed its buys of Evergreen Rehabilitation LLC, Select Medical Rehabilitation Services Inc and Metro Therapy Inc from Select Medical Holdings Corp. Select Medical announced the sale of contract therapy business last month. Winston & Strawn LLP acted as the attorney for Encore while Dechert LLP was the legal advisor and Stephens Inc acted as financial advisor to Select Medical Holdings Corp. Stites & Harbison PLLC acted as legal advisor to Evergreen.

Vasona Networks raises $14.6 mln

Vasona Networks Inc said April 6 that it raised a $14.6 million Series C round from investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, New Venture Partners and NexStar Partners. San Jose, California-based Vasona provides platforms for mobile network capacity, resource management and edge intelligence.
