Jackson joins Onex Corp

Onex Corp said April 5 that Walt Jackson has joined Onex Credit to establish a direct lending platform. Jackson was previously Chief Operating Officer of the Private Credit Group at Goldman Sachs' merchant banking division.

Summit BHC buys three Pennsylvania treatment centers

Summit BHC, a portfolio company of Flexpoint Ford LLC, has completed three acquisitions of treatment centers in Pennsylvania. Financial terms weren’t announced. The acquisitions include: Turning Point, a 106-bed addiction treatment center located in Franklin, Pennsylvania; Mountain Laurel Recovery Center in Tioga County; and St Joseph Institute outside of State College.

Grilly joins VStar Entertainment Group

Eric Grilly has joined VStar Entertainment Group, a portfolio company of AUA Private Equity Partners. Grilly previously served as president of Alli Sports, a division of the NBC Sports Group.

Venktesh Shukla is joining Fenox Venture Capital as a General Partner. Shukla is currently Chairman of TiE Global.

Chung joins EIG Global Energy Partners

EIG Global Energy Partners said April 5 that Rex Chung has joined as a Managing Director and Co-Head of Asia, based in the firm’s Hong Kong office. Previously, Chung was the Head of both the Asian Client and Partner Group and the Capital Markets teams at KKR.

Toptal buys Skillbridge

Toptal, which is backed by investors including Andreessen Horowitz, has acquired Skillbridge. Financial terms weren’t announced. San Francisco-based Skillbridge is an online platform for business freelancers.

H.I.G. Middle Market closes Quicken buy

H.I.G. Middle Market, the middle market investment affiliate of H.I.G. Capital, has closed its buy of the Quicken business from Intuit Inc. Financial terms weren’t announced. Menlo Park, California-based Quicken provides personal financial management software products. Union Square Advisors acted as a financial advisor to H.I.G.

Consensus raises $4.2 mln

DemoChimp, which has rebranded as Consensus, has completed a $4.2 million Series A funding round led by Peak Ventures. Also participating were CEB and super angel Nobutaka Mutaguchi. American Fork, Utah-based Consensus provides B2B demo automation software.
