Naylor Association Solutions, a portfolio company of RLJ Equity Partners, has acquired WJ Weiser and Associates. Financial terms weren’t announced. Schaumburg, Illinois-based WJ Weiser provides association management company solutions to medical & health sciences related organizations worldwide. Corporate Finance Associates Chicago advised WJ Weiser.

TPG/Satya to invest in Ecoles Yassamine

TPG/Satya said Thursday that they have agreed to invest in Ecoles Yassamine. Financial terms weren’t announced but the deal is for a minority investment. Ecoles is a private school network in Morocco. TPG/Satya is the partnership between TPG Growth and Satya Capital Ltd. to invest in Africa.

Ativa Medical raises $15 mln

Ativa Medical said Wednesday that it raised $15 million in Series B funding. Investors include Ping An Ventures, Hermed Capital, Laboratory Corp. of America Holdings, Dian Diagnostics, GIMDx and Diamond BioFund. Ativa Medical is emerging growth medical diagnostic company developing and commercializing point-of-care diagnostic technologies.

Grace named Hercules Technology Growth's general counsel, chief compliance officer

Hercules Technology Growth Capital Inc. has named Melanie Grace its General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. Grace most recently served as the chief legal officer and corporate secretary of WHV Investments.

HOYA Group PENTAX Medical invests in Creo Medical

HOYA Group PENTAX Medical has agreed to invest in Creo Medical Ltd. Financial terms weren’t announced. Creo is a UK-based medical devices maker. In 2014, Creo raised 3.5 million pounds from Finance Wales and the Angel CoFund.

Tenex Capital buys Pemco America

Tenex Capital Management has acquired Pemco America Inc. Financial terms weren’t announced. Palm Beach Capital, which owned a majority, was the seller. Sarasota, Florida-based Pemco is professional employer organization that provides human resource administrative outsourced solutions. Brookwood Associates advised Pemco.

Tascent raises $18.5 mln

Tascent Inc. said Thursday it raised $18.5 million in a Series A funding round. Investors were not disclosed. Los Gatos, California-based Tascent develops and deploys biometric identity products.

Alvarez & Marsal expands Latin America practice

Alvarez & Marsal said Wednesday that it made some additions to its Latin America practice. Fabio Pires and Avlaro Araujo have joined the firm. Both are Managing Directors. Sergio Aguilar and David Arrabiot have also joined as Senior Directors.

Doxim, a portfolio company of Strattam Capital LLC, has acquired Roler Data. Financial terms weren’t announced. Mississauga, Ontario-based Roler Data provides electronic document composition, processing, delivery and archiving services to a financial customers.
