Berkshire Partners LLC, along with New Balance Holding Inc., have closed their buy of The Rockport Company. The adidas Group is the seller. Financial terms weren’t announced. The deal calls for Drydock Footwear LLC, a New Balance affiliate and home to the Cobb Hill, Aravon and Dunham brands, to join with The Rockport Company to form The Rockport Group. Bob Infantino will serve as CEO of The Rockport Group. Canton, Massachusetts-based Rockport designs and markets comfort footwear for men and women. Brands will include Rockport, Cobb Hill, Aravon and Dunham. New Balance Holding Inc. is the investment arm of New Balance.

Battery Ventures said Monday it has acquired the Physical Security Business Unit of NICE Systems. The deal is valued at up to $100 million. The Physical Security unit, which provides video- management, video-analytics and situation-management solutions, will be spun out into an independently operating business.

TPG Specialty Lending Inc. said Friday that Alan Kirshenbaum is stepping down as CFO effective no earlier than Oct. 2. Kirshenbaum is pursuing a new career opportunity. Upon his departure, Robert (Bob) Ollwerther, the Company’s Chief Operating Officer, will assume the role of interim CFO. Kirshenbaum will remain CFO through his departure date and will play an advisory role in the third quarter close to facilitate a seamless transition, TPG Speciality Lending said.

KKR has agreed to invest $150 million into JBF Group, which owns JBF Industries Ltd. A portion of the $150 million will be used by KKR to buy a 20 percent stake in JBF, which is traded on BSE Ltd and the National Stock Exchange of India. KKR will use the remaining proceeds to buy zero-coupon convertible preference shares with 14.5% voting rights in JBF Global Pte. Limited, Singapore, an unlisted subsidiary.
