Software startup ThingWorx has raised an undisclosed amount of Series C financing led by Safeguard Scientifics, the company announced Tuesday. Details of the round were not released. In 2011, Safeguard Scientific led a $5 million round for the company, whose application platform helps design apps to connect people, systems and devices.

Seattle-based Lockerz has added $7.5 million in new financing, primarily comprised of debt and warrants, according to a recent SEC filing. Last year, the social commerce site announced a $36 million Series C round from investors including DAG Ventures, Liberty Media, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Live Nation Entertainment. And also in the past year, the company has snatched up acquisitions including online fashion community Chick Approved and Online hotel booking site Off & Away.
