Sagard SAS of Paris France, has held informal talks to sell Souriau, Reuters reported citing people with direct knowledge of the matter. Souriau is worth upwards of 500 million euros ($675 million), according to one source close to the deal. Sagard acquired the electric connectors business from AZA Private Equity in 2006.

Robert Muehlenbeck was named chairman of Square 1 Financial, Inc. and Square 1 Bank. Muehlenbeck has been a board member since the commercial bank was founded and he was executive vice president and director of Imperial Bank prior to his retirement in 1999. Six Square 1 Bank executives, under the guidance of Lead Director Robert Keith, will fulfill the CEO’s responsibilities and functions.
