CarWale.com, an Indian automotive sales portal, has raised $7 million in Series A funding led by Sierra Ventures.

BTI Systems Adds $15 Million

BTI Systems, an Ottawa-based provider of microWDM networking solutions for the delivery of gigabit services, has raised US$15 million in new VC funding. Export Development Canada led the round, and was joined by return backers like Vengrowth Private Equity Partners, BDC Venture Capital, GrowthWorks Capital, Kodiak Venture Partners, Primaxis Technology Ventures and Lucent Venture Partners. The company had previously raised around $41 million.

iSkoot Raises $19 Million for Mobile VOIP

iSkoot Inc., a San Francisco-based provider of mobile VoIP solutions, has raised $19 million in Series C funding. Vision Opportunity Master Fund led the round, and was joined by return backers Charles River Ventures, Khosla Ventures, Jesselson Capital Corp. and ZG Ventures. The company had previously raised just over $15 million.

CERNET Koncept Raises $6.5 Million

CERNET Koncept Ltd., the holder of exclusive rights to provide digital media services and advertising to China’s university students, has raised $6.5 million in Series A funding from Sequoia Capital.

@Ventures Backs CarbonFlow

Carbonflow Inc., a San Francisco-based maker of software for carbon market participants, has closed its Series A round with an undisclosed amount of funding from @Ventures. The company previously held a $2.9 million first close from Clean Pacific Ventures, OVP Venture Partners and Meridian Energy Ltd.
