Bessemer raises $4.63bn for two private equity funds

The California-based venture capital firm held a final close on its 12th private equity fund.

Bessemer Venture Partners has announced a final close on its 12th fund, Bessemer Venture Partners XII, at $3.85 billion. The fund surpasses its predecessor, Bessemer Venture Partners XI, which closed in February 2021 at $2.48 billion. The firm also announced that it has raised $780 million for its BVP Forge Fund fund.
 
Bessemer Venture Partners XII will invest in early-stage investments in companies around the globe spanning enterprise, deep tech, fintech, consumer and healthcare. The firm will also use  BVP Forge Institutional A to invest in growing software and technology-enabled services businesses looking for liquidity in the form of a growth buyout or significant minority investment.
