Chicago Teachers’ Pension Fund has approved a commitment of $25 million to Flag Venture Partners XI managed by Aberdeen Standard Investments, a contact at the pension informed Private Equity International.

The $10.60 billion US public pension has a 5.0 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 3.40 percent.

As illustrated in the charts below, Chicago Teachers’ Pension Fund has made seven commitments to private equity funds with a vintage of 2018 or 2019, which combined constitute $85 million.
