Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) is an investment management firm, founded in 1997 by an act of Parliament to manage and invest the Canada Pension Plan to ensure its long-term sustainability. CPPIB invests in public equities, private equities, real estate, infrastructure and fixed income instruments including both private and public debt.
In November 2021, CPP announced over $1.6 billion in private equity commitments across six funds. $200m to Clearlake Capital Partners VII, $325m to Anchor Equity Partners IV, $600m to Baring Asia Private Equity VIII, $350m to Carlyle Partners VIII, $100m to Kainos Partners III, $57m (€50m) to Summa Equity III.
