Venture firms back Cenix Bioscience; Cornerstone backs httprint financing

Venture firms back Cenix Bioscience

A group of German and Danish venture capital investors have invested in the latest financing round for Cenix BioScience, a German-based business which develops RNA-based technologies and therapeutics.

The financing was led by two new investors, EMBL Technology Fund, based in Heidelberg, Germany, and BankInvest Biomedical Venture, based in Copenhagen. Existing investors, TechnoStart and Heidelberg Innovation, also participated in the round. The E5m raised will be used to fund its next stage of development and progress its drug development programmes.

Cornerstone backs httprint financing

US fund Cornerstone Ventures has teamed up with venture capital firm Investcorp and Bertelsmann Capital Ventures, the corporate venture unit of Bertelsmann AG, to provide a $4m investment to httprint, a San Francisco-based print production technology firm.

The latest funding, which follows a $12m investment announced in June, will be used to continue httprint’s expansion and fund technology and services enhancements. Previous undisclosed investors also participated in the latest round of financing.
