Continuum ups Cardillo to corporate development VP

Continuum, a provider of managed IT services solutions, has promoted Steve Cardillo to vice president of corporate development. Cardillo has been with Continuum since late 2011. Prior to joining the company, he worked at Summit Partners.

Dallas Police & Fire hires exec with private equity experience as CIO

The Dallas Police & Fire Pension System named James Perry, an institutional investor executive with private equity experience, as chief investment officer, a newly created position. Perry will oversee all investments in the system's $3.1 billion portfolio. Perry currently works as assistant vice chancellor and assistant CIO for Texas Tech University System, a $1.1 billion endowment. Prior to the endowment, Perry was a senior investment officer with the San Bernardino County Employees' Retirement Association, working across public and private markets including equity, fixed income, real estate and private equity. Perry starts at the Dallas pension system on Sept. 1.

Beechwood hires CFO

Reinsurance programs provider Beechwood Re has appointed David Kaplon as chief financial officer. Previously, Kaplon worked at Aquiline Capital Partners where he served as an executive advisor. And prior to that, he worked at Blackstone's Bayview Asset Management mortgage investment platform.

Heartland Financial USA taps Tengler as chief investment officer

Heartland Financial USA has appointed Nancy Tengler as chief investment officer for the company's private client services unit. In addition to her new position, Tengler will continue in her role as wealth advisory services market leader for the Phoenix market. She is a former president, CEO and chief investment officer of Fremont Investment Advisors.

Main Line Equity Partners adds new senior associate to team

Main Line Equity Partners has hired Richard DeFelice as a senior associate. Previously, DeFelice worked at Westinghouse Electric Company where he served as lead analyst within the strategy and corporate development group.

Genstar-backed Asset International hires Mandelbaum as CEO and president

Asset International Inc, a portfolio company of Genstar Capital, has named Joel Mandelbaum as CEO and president. Also, Mandelbaum has made an undisclosed investment in Asset International. Previously, he was an entrepreneur in residence at Warburg Pincus. Based in New York, Asset International is a provider of critical data, business intelligence and information services for the global investment management sector.

Wulchin steps down as FreeWave's President

FreeWave Technologies, a portfolio company of TA Associates, said Wednesday that Co-founder Steve Wulchin is leaving his role as President of the company. Wulchin will remain the company's single largest shareholder and will continue to be actively involved as a Board Member.

Lebenthal Asset Management LLC has named Barbara Doran as a portfolio manager. She is a former senior portfolio manager and wealth advisor at Morgan Stanley.

VC-backed Cloud Technology Partners adds to board of advisors

Boston-based Cloud Technology Partners, a provider of cloud computing consulting services, has named Ronald H. Hovsepian to its board of advisors. Hovsepian is the president, CEO and director of Intralinks Inc. Cloud Technology Partners' backers include Pritzker Group Venture Capital and Oak Investment Partners.
