The Carlyle Group has hired Georgette Kiser as managing director and chief information officer. She also will join the management committee. Kiser joins Carlyle from T. Rowe Price Group Inc., where she was vice president and director of enterprise solutions and capabilities for services and technology. At Carlyle, Kiser will lead the firm's global information technology group.

Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan has appointed Jean Turmel as the new chair of its board of directors. Turmel, president of Perseus Capital Inc, and previously the president of financial markets, treasury and investment banking at the National Bank of Canada, replaces Eileen Mercier, who retired from the board after 10 years of service. Based in Toronto, Ontario Teachers manages and invests $140.8 billion in net assets on behalf of Ontario educational professionals.
