Canadian retailer Hudson's Bay Co (TSX: HBC) has named Gerald Storch as its new CEO as of January 6, 2015. Storch was previously chairman and CEO of Toys "R" Us Inc. The company's current CEO Richard Baker will continue as governor and executive chairman. He and Storch will also compose the office of the chairman. Hudson's Bay, which went public in 2012, is a portfolio investment of U.S. private equity firm NRDC Equity Partners.

Kathy Jeramaz-Larson, the Canadian executive director of the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA), will step down from the organization as of June 30, 2015. Jeramaz-Larson joined ILPA in January 2007 and led the organization through what has arguably been the most transformative era in the global private equity industry for limited partners.

The Watermill Group has hired three people across marketing, transactions and administration. The firm hired Sarah Bowden, an account manager at King Fish Media, as director of marketing. Matt Bergin, who spent more than two years working for Watermill, was re-hired as director of transactions and is responsible for evaluating and coordinating potential deals. Watermill also hired Kaari Purstell as an executive assistant and manager of administration.
