Adams Street Partners announces several executive changes

Private equity firm Adams Street Partners has made a number of executive changes to its team. The firm has promoted Jeff Diehl to head of investments while Miguel Gonzalo has been named head of investment strategy. Also, Ray Chan has become the head of risk management and advanced analytics. And, Kelly Meldrum, who was recently promoted to head the firm's primary investment team, has begun to chair the primary investment committee as Chief Investment Officer Hanneke Smits transitions out of her duties.

SFW Capital-backed Filtec hires new president and CEO

Filtec, a portfolio company of SFW Capital Partners, has named David Storey as president and CEO. Storey will succeed Steve Calhoun who will remain as a member of the board. Previously, Storey worked at Royston where he served as CEO. Based in Torrance, Calif., Filtec is a provider of in-line inspection instrumentation and systems for the beverage and packaging sectors.

Corum Group promotes Johnson to VP

M&A firm Corum Group International said Monday that it has promoted Mark Johnson to vice president. Prior to joining Corum, he worked at Activio AB where he served as a CEO. He's also a former investment director at Nordic Venture Partners.

Single Touch taps ex-PE consultant for board of directors

Single Touch Systems has added Joseph Beatty to its board of directors. Beatty is a former consultant to private equity firm Cardinal Growth. Based in Jersey City, New Jersey, Single Touch is a mobile media solutions provider.

Z Capital beefs up team with two additions

Z Capital Partners said Monday that it has hired Thomas P. Wicky as managing director and operating partner and Matthew D. Kane as director and deputy general counsel. Wicky is a veteran in the leisure, hospitality, and real estate sectors in Europe while Kane is a former associate at New York-based Storch Amini & Munves.

CalPERS hires Mahboob Hossain to lead four-person co-invest team

The California Public Employees’ Retirement System, which manages some $300 billion in assets, has hired Mahboob Hossain as a senior portfolio manager to oversee co-investments made alongside private equity fund managers.

Michael Hart appointed president of Carlyle GMS Finance

The Carlyle Group has appointed Michael Hart as managing director and president of Carlyle GMS Finance, a business development company targeting middle market investing, as well as its affiliated investment vehicle, NF Investment Corp. Hart joins Carlyle from Blackrock Solutions, where he was a managing director and co-head of the US advisory practice within the financial markets advisory group.

Captrust adds new office and appoints two

CAPTRUST Financial Advisors, an independent retirement plan advisory firm, has opened a new office in Columbia, Missouri and appointed two financial advisors. John Weber joins CAPTRUST as vice president, financial advisor focused on providing retirement plan advisory services to corporate fiduciaries. Sean Weber joins as financial advisor, relationship manager focused on providing comprehensive wealth management and retirement advisory services to high‐net‐worth investors, private foundations, and corporate executives.
