Capital Square 1031 taps Barry as regional VP

Capital Square 1031, a real estate investment and management firm, has named Charles Barry as regional vice president. In his new role, he will be responsible for Midwest sales. Previously, Barry served in wholesaling capacities at MBD Solutions, Megatel Capital Investment, Dahn America360 and Axxcess Capital.

SL Green to sell minority stake in Manhattan building

SL Green Realty Corp, a real estate investment trust, has agreed to sell its minority stake in 3 Columbus Circle, a building that occupies the entire block between Broadway and Eighth Avenue. The buyer is The Moinian, the owner of the remaining stake. The sale is expected to generate about $223 million. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of this year. Currently, 3 Columbus Circle's tenants include Young & Rubicam, eMerge 212 and Jazz at Lincoln Center.

AWI acquires Nevada student housing property

Academy West Investments, a real estate investment firm, has acquired Wolf Run Village and Wolf Run East, a 395-bed student housing property near the University of Nevada, Reno campus. No financial terms were disclosed.

TK Partners buys minority stake in Savanna

TK Partners, a consortium of investors led by Tunbridge Investment Partners, has acquired a minority stake in New York City-based Savanna, a real estate investment firm. No financial terms were disclosed. Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP provided legal counsel to Savanna while Skadden LLP did likewise for Tunbridge and TK Partners.

LaSalle gathers C$350 mln for Canadian real estate fund

LaSalle Investment Management has raised C$350 million for its Canadian real estate fund. The investors of LaSalle Canada Property Fund include a government pension fund and a European-based global financial institution.

Bow River wraps up sophomore real estate fund at $186 mln

Denver-based Bow River Capital, a lower-middle market private equity firm, has raised $186 million for its second real estate fund, according to several SEC filings. The fund will invest in commercial and residential real estate with a focus on value-add, distressed and new construction investment opportunities.

Marcus Partners acquires Washington D.C. office building

Marcus Partners, a real estate investment firm, has acquired Washington, D.C.-based Jefferson Building, an office building. No financial terms were disclosed. Kevin Howard and Lara Nealon of CBRE will remain the property’s leasing agents while Lincoln Property Company will continue to manage the building on behalf of its new owners.

Walker & Dunlop provides $138.1 mln for Miami condo tower

Bethesda, Maryland-based Walker & Dunlop, a commercial real estate services and finance company, has provided $138.1 million in construction financing for Miami-based Elysee, a waterfront condominium tower. Construction of the 100-unit luxury tower began in 2017 and is expected to finish by 2020.

MedProperties acquires three Texas medical office buildings

Dallas-based MedProperties Realty Advisors LLC, a real estate private equity firm, has recently acquired three medical office buildings in Texas. They include a two-story, 40,000-square foot medical complex in Lakeway via a joint venture with Equity LLC, an Ohio-based developer, owner and operator of healthcare facilities and other real estate assets; and a 27,554-square foot medical office building in Dripping Springs. No financial terms were disclosed.

TriGate and Miles River buys Florida land for industrial development

TriGate Capital and Miles River Partners have acquired the remaining vacant land comprising the Crossroads Distribution Center in Jacksonville, Florida. No financial terms were disclosed. The property will be used toward industrial development.
