Xinyuan Real Estate, a real estate developer and property manager operating mostly in China and also in other countries, has acquired a 50 percent equity stake in London-based Madison Project for a consideration of 29.11 million pounds (about $40.9 million). The Madison Project is a site that will develop a 53- story building comprised of 423 residential apartments. Construction is expected to be completed for the third quarter of 2020.

Alexandria Real Estate Equities Inc, a real estate investment trust focused on collaborative life science and technology campuses in AAA innovation cluster locations, has named Jennifer J. Banks and Larry J. Diamonds as co-chief operating officers. Their appointments become effective April 23, 2018. Banks joined Alexandria in 2002 and has served as the company's general counsel since 2008 while Diamond joined the company in 1998 to open a regional office in Alexandria's Maryland life science cluster.

Gearhart to chief operating officer and William Glascott to deputy chief investment officer. Lentz joined Green Courte in 2003, Gearhart came on board in 2015 and Glascott joined the firm in 2012.
