Debevoise launches website for women

The law firm is seeking to connect with its clients and peer firms about the main topics affecting women in business.

Debevoise & Plimpton has launched an external website devoted to the interests of professional women.

The Debevoise Women’s Review is the firm’s first external initiative dedicated to highlighting topics of interest to women lawyers and business professionals, including the achievement, initiatives and advocacy efforts of women and organizations around the world, according to a statement from the firm.

Topics expected to be covered on the website include how successful women overcome challenges that they face, Erica Weisgerber, editorial co-chair and associate at Debevoise & Plimpton told pfm.

The website will include interviews with leading women in business, coverage of conferences, books and articles, alongside reflective pieces tying in with the personal experiences of Debevoise women, according to the statement. It is hoping to include contributions from women from competing law firms as well as other industries, such as private equity.

The initiatives is being led by partners Peggy Davenport, chair of the firm’s Women’s Task Force and co-chair of the corporate department, and My Chi To, co-head of the Women’s Resource Group, as well as editorial co-chairs Anne Balla and Erica Weisgerber.
