Graphite Capital raises £470m

The private equity group closes latest fund with significant support from existing investors.

Graphite Capital has held a final close of Graphite Capital Partners IX at £470 million, after four months of fundraising. The firm’s ninth UK mid-market fund is expected to invest in high-growth companies valued between £30 million and £150 million, following the same strategy as its predecessors.

Around three-quarters of the capital raised came from existing investors, with nine new investors also contributing capital. The investor base is spread between the UK, continental Europe, the US and Japan.

Graphite Capital Partners VIII previously closed at £500 million in November 2013, having originally targeted £450 million.
