Great Hill Partners raises $1.5bn

Great Hill Partners has raised $1.5 billion for its Great Hill Equity Partners VI. The Boston-headquartered firm began fundraising in 2016 with a $1.5 billion target.

Its previous fund raised $1.23 billion in 2015.

Investors that committed to Great Hill Equity Partners VI include the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System, the University of Houston System and the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.

The fund will target buyout opportunities in a diverse number of sectors globally.
