Kayne Anderson reaches $700m for $1.6bn energy fund
The firm began the fundraising effort for its fifth energy fund in summer 2008 and held a first close on $670m in November. If successfully raised, it will be the largest fund it has yet raised for the sector, which has seen continued fundraising strength.
Quintana reaches $250m for Fund II
The mid-market energy investor is targeting $650m for the fund, which will also have a 15% allocation to coal investments in China. Quintana recently opened an office in Beijing to facilitate these investments.
