Leveraged debt advisor Blenheim expands team

London-based Blenheim Advisors, an advisor on debt packages for financings and refinancings, has made two appointments to meet greater demand for service from private equity firms.

European leveraged debt advisor Blenheim Advisors has recruited David Parker as an executive director and Romain Lanier as an associate.

Bleinheim said that it is expanding its team in order to meet increasing demand from private equity firms for sourcing and negotiating leveraged debt packages for primary financings and refinancings.

Parker began his career with Royal Bank of Scotland before spending four years in CIBC’s leveraged finance group. After CIBC, Parker was investment director at DAM Advisors.

Lanier has joined Blenheim from Banca Nazionale del Lavoro in London, where he worked on leveraged transactions. Prior to that, he was at Credit Lyonnais in New York and Deloitte & Touche in France.

According to Blenheim, Parker and Lanier’s appointments bring the company’s team to six.

London-based Blenheim Advisors was founded in 2003 by William Allen and Jonathon Guise and has since arranged 24 deals across the UK, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Belgium.

Recently, Blenheim advised Electra Partners Europe on a €200 million debt package for the acquisition of German automobile clutch manufacturer LUK’s hydraulics division in March; the refinancing of Coperion Group, a portfolio company of West Private Equity, now Lyceum Capital, in February; and the December 2005 refinancing of a €242 million debt package for Armacell, a European manufacturer of engineered foams backed by CVC Capital Partners.

Blenheim Advisors has also previously worked with Englefield Capital Partners, L Capital and Bridgepoint.
