The current alternative investment managing director in the Pennsylvania State Employees' Retirement System, Lauren Lenfest, will retire in February. David Felix is appointed acting managing director for the department.

The Universities Superannuation Scheme has sold the interests of thirteen private equity funds to Arian for GPB640 million shifting to direct investment strategy.

Chicago Teachers' Pension Fund will hear due dilligence presentations from Pantheon, Muller & Monroe, ICV, Pharos, Palladium, Hispania and Garcia Hamilton at the board meeting today.

The Investment Committee of Orange County Employees Retirement System has approved a $110 million commitment to Alcentra European Direct Lending Fund II.

Orange County Employees Retirement System has issued a request for proposal for a five-year general investment consultant. The bid deadline is February 29.

Public Employees Retirement Association of New Mexico has committed $85 million to Warburg Pincus XII according to the recently released November meeting minutes.

Kansas Public Employees Retirement System has authorized a $75 million commitment to Green Equity Investors VII and shited the private equity target to 8%.

 

22 January 

The California Public Employees' Retirement System has announced that the chief executive officer, Anne Stausboll, will retire at the end of June 2016. The board will immediately look for her replacement.

HSBC Global Asset Management has hired Adrian Gordon as the new UK institutional head.

Canadian pension fund, Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, is looking to hire an EMEA Head of Private Equity to lead its fund investment activities.

New York State Common Retirement Fund committed $250 million to Searchlight Capital II in November according to the montly report released last week.

New Mexico State Investment Council has committed $100 million to Green Equity Investors VII and $10 million to Phoenix Venture Partners II.

The City of Erie Pension Plans is conducting a private equity fund of funds manager search under the guidance of its investment consultant, Dahab Associates.

Korea Investment Corporation has appointed Sung Soo Eun as new chief executive officer.

Evonik Industries has approved to commit to GRC SinoGreen Fund III to target potential green technology companies.

TPG will be recruiting the ex-head of IFC, Jin-Yong Cai, as Partner in Asia to help expand its investment strategy in emerging and frontier markets. He will join the firm on February 1.

 Mitsubishi UFJ Capital partnered with Industrial Technology Investment Corporation to launch and back Golden Asia Fund Taiwan II which raised TWD1.5 billion currently.

In December 2015, Michigan State University had appointed Philip Zecher as the endowments' first Chief Investment Officer

East Venture and multiple e-commerce companies including Septeni Holdings, DeNA, United, PR agency Vector and Adways have committed to Skyland's second venture fund which collected $10 million.
