Moore opens London office(4)

Moore, a back office services provider, has hired Simon Chadwick from Bear Stearns to spearhead its drive in London and Japan.

Simon Chadwick, a former Bear Stearns placement agent, is opening a London office for Moore, a specialist provider of fund management, fund administration and corporate services.

At Bear Stearns Asset Management Chadwick was a managing director in the private funds group.  He has 18 years of financial business development and management experience including 12 years with the Schroder Group. 

He is a specialist in private equity fund-related business and has previously lived and worked in Japan, one of Moore’s important markets.

Chadwick will lead new business development for the Moore group with a particular focus on private equity funds, art funds and cross-border opportunities relating to Japan.

Ian Moore, chief executive, said: “The opening of London and Tokyo offices this year brings us closer to current and prospective clients for our range of offshore fund administration and management services.”

Moore administers and manages investments in excess of $10 billion, including approximately $3 billion of private equity funds.  The business was founded 11 years ago in Jersey, an off-shore haven, by Ian Moore.

The Channel island is host to venture capital and private equity funds worth £16 billion; property funds ammounting to £31 billion; and hedge funds and fund of hedge funds leading the way with £51 billion.
