Norwegian Ministry of Finance forms an expert group to study the feasibility of fewer restrictions imposed on private equity investments made by Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM).
Currently, NBIM is only allowed to invest in unlisted real estate and unlisted companies that seek listing on a recognised marketplace on behalf of the Government Pension Fund Global (GPFG).
The assessment is expected to complete by December 2017 and be submitted to Parliament in the spring of 2018.
