New York State Common approves $15m commitment

New York State Common Retirement Fund has approved a commitment of $15 million to Primary Select Fund I, according to the pension’s latest monthly report. The venture capital fund will be targeting companies in the TMT sector.

The $210.28 billion US public pension has a 10.0 percent target allocation to private equity which currently stands at 9.10 percent.

As illustrated below, New York State Common Retirement Fund has made eleven commitments to private equity funds with a 2019 vintage, which combined constitute $1.74 billion.
