Nippon Life readies PE expansion

The Japanese life insurer gears up for more PE investments.

Nippon Life Insurance said it is targeting to commit to 20 private equity funds in the next 12 months, with commitment size between $40 million and $70 million.

It will consider funds in North and South America, Europe and Asia Pacific through diversified strategies, including buyout, VC, distressed debt, as well as co-investments.
