NYSCRF approves $405m in commitments

The US public pension has backed two private equity funds.

New York State Common Retirement System has agreed to commit $400 million to Thoma Bravo Fund XIV and $5 million to New Era Capital Partners II, the pension’s October 2020 monthly report states.

The $216.3 billion US public pension has a 10.0 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 9.40 percent.

As illustrated below, the pension fund’s recent commitments are to funds focused on the technology, financial services and healthcare sectors within the Middle East/Africa, Europe and North America regions.
