NYSCRF approves $615m in commitments

The US public pension backed four PE vehicles in its final monthly report of 2019.

New York State Common Retirement Fund has agreed to $615 million-worth of private equity commitments to four separate vehicles, according to the pension’s December investment report.

The commitments comprise of $300 million to Harbourvest/NYSCRF Pioneer Partnership Fund III, $250 million to Insight Venture Partners XI, $50 million to Eagletree Patners V and $15 million to Hosen Private Equity III.

The $215.54 billion US public pension has a 10.0 percent target allocation to private equity which currently stands at 9.60 percent.

As illustrated below, NYSCRF has made several commitments to private equity vehicles with a 2019 or 2020 vintage, which combined constitute $3.73 billion.
