New York State Common Retirement Fund has confirmed $1.24 billion-worth of commitments to five private equity vehicles, according to the pension’s March 2020 investment disclosure report.
The commitments comprise of $180 million to Clearlake Capital Partners VI, $500 million to Vista Credit Opportunities Partners III, $400 million to Blackstone Tactical Opportunities Fund III, $150 million to ITE Rail Card Fund and $10 million Pitango Growth Fund II.
The $225.90 billion US public pension has a 10.0 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 9.40 percent.

Blackstone’s Tactical Opportunities III fund invests across several alternatives asset classes, including private equity, private debt and infrastructure.
