Ohio Police and Fire Pension Fund approves $40m in commitments

The US public pension has backed two multi-regional private equity funds.

Ohio Police and Fire Pension Fund has approved commitments of up to $20 million each to TA XIII and Advent International GPE IX, a contact at the pension fund informed Private Equity International.

Ohio Police and Fire Pension Fund has previously invested in TA XI and XII. The public pension has also previously invested in the eighth and ninth funds in the Advent GPE series.

The $15.60 billion US public pension has an 8.0 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 8.10 percent.

As illustrated in the charts below, the fund has made six private equity commitments with a vintage year of 2018 and 2019, which combined constitute $170 million.
