Ohio Police and Fire approves $70m in commitments

The US public pension has backed two North American private equity funds.

Ohio Police and Fire Pension Fund has approved commitments of up to $50 million to BlackRock Direct Lending Fund IX and $20 million to Cortec Group Fund VII, a contact at the pension informed Private Equity International.

The $15.75 billion US public pension has an 8.0 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 8.50 percent.

As illustrated in the charts below, the pension fund has made six commitments to private equity funds with a 2019 vintage, which combined constitute $180 million.
