PAI promotes four partners

The European private equity firm has made promotions in France and Italy across its healthcare, food and consumer and general industrials teams, as it continues to invest its sixth fund.

Paris-based PAI Partners has named four new partners across its offices in France and Italy, according to a spokesperson for the firm.

Stefano Drago, Gaëlle d’Engremont and Mathieu Paillat have been promoted to partner in the firm’s Paris office and Roberto Ferraresi has been named partner in Milan.

Drago joined PAI in 2005 and has been promoted from principal to partner in the healthcare team. During his tenure he has been involved in several transactions including investments in French operator of nursing homes DomusVi, medical biology laboratories company Cerba Healthcare and equipment rental company Kiloutou, according to his profile on PAI’s website.

D’Engremont has worked at PAI since 2004 and has become a partner in the food and consumer goods team. She has been involved in a number of transactions including snacks business United Biscuits and hotel chain B&B Hotels, according to PAI’s website.

Paillat also works in the firm’s Paris office and has been promoted to partner in the general industrials team. He has worked at PAI for over 14 years and has been involved in a number of transactions including sports brand CEP and supplier of concrete roof products Monier, according to PAI’s website.

Ferraresi joined the PAI’s Milan office in 2004 and has been promoted from his role of principal to partner. Since his time at the firm he has been involved in a number of transactions, including smart payment device Coin, Saeco and contact centre solution provider Konecta.

PAI is currently investing its €3.3 billion sixth fund, PAI Europe VI, a 2014 vehicle that closed over its hard cap of €3 billion last year. Notable investors in the fund include Pennsylvania Public Schools Employees’ Retirement System which has committed $100 million, according to PEI Research and Analytics.

The firm was also voted by the industry as Firm of the Year in France and Firm of the Year in Switzerland, in the PEI Awards 2015.
